This month we are highlighting the Skylark Collection. If you came here from Michelle Snyder's blog blog you are on the right path. If you get lost along the way you can find a complete list of participants on Dana Kessler's Blog .
For my project I used our Memory Showcase Album which is only $3.95. The covers are approximately 6 1/4" x 6 1/4" and are heavy chipboard. The inner pages are 6" x 6" and are cardstock weight.
On the covers front and back you can add as much dimension as you like. I used the CTMH embossing folder Quatrefoil on the patterned paper, popped up the bird, title and added some rolled roses from the Art Philosophy Cricut Cartridge using both pattern paper and cardstock. This cartridge or one of our other cartridges can be yours Free this month when you sign up with CTMH as a consultant. Sponging the edges with Chocolate, Sweetleaf or Lagoon inks highlights the papers. The Skylark accents to add a little dimension to some of the pages.
I made this one more like a mini album. Each page has something interactive. There are pockets, tags, or belly bands so that each page holds multiple photos and journaling. You can use it for 4x6 photos as well.
This shot shows the front with the Bird on the right and the back with the pocket and tags on the left.
The pages in the center have pockets and mats.
These inside pages and the back of the covers show belly band and more pockets.
You can get a lot of photos in a small package.
I will be adding close ups of the pages to my blog post tomorrow if you are interested in seeing it up close.
Your next stop is Krista Hershberger's blog, she does amazing things.. Enjoy your journey!
