CTMH Albums

The current CTMH Albums are retiring.  After years of having these albums we are changing things up a little in 2014.  These albums are as supplies last, $24.95. They come in Outdoor Denim, Black, Chocolate, Hollyhock, or Cranberry.  These albums are expandable.  Because they are retiring it also means our Extenders are also retiring.

Starting in March we are adding some new albums to our line.  One will be a D-Ring Album in Cocoa Damask or Slate Circles,  or a Post-Bound in the same colors and patterns.
The price on these albums will be $34.95.

If you would like to order you can do so online or by emailing me at ddd4nier@aol.com.

Base & Bling Necklaces

April Card Class preview

I wanted to share my first card for the April Card Class.  This fun fold card is done with our new Balloon Ride papers.  The stamp set used is  C1533 Fabulous You.
The images are stamped in Saddle Inks and the bird and flowers are colored in with Blush and Crystal Blue Inks using the Blending Pen.  To do this you just squeeze the stamp pad before opening it up, which will transfer some ink the lid, then take the blender pen and ink it up.  You can just wipe it off on scratch paper to get the ink out and use the same pen for another color, I do like to do the lightest color first then go to a darker color.
The flower inside the card is one from Art Philosophy Cartridge, and the tiny one in the center is a punch.  Once I get my new Explore Cricut machine I should be able to cut those little flowers, can't wait!
I finished off the card by adding a little sparkle, using Brown and Tan Assortment of Sparkles.

I got the idea for this card from another talented consultant named Jodie Park, thanks for sharing.

I will be posting more cards and the date of the class soon.  I will also be adding a kit for all the cards in case you would like to make them and can't come to the class.

Simply Inspired Blog Hop - Embossing the Boss

This month we are highlighting our "Embossing Folders".

If you came here from Pam's blog you are on the right path.  Keep traveling from one blog to the next and you will make a circle of the 15 participants. If you get lost along the way you can find a complete list of all consultants participating here.

There are many different techniques you can do with Embossing folders.  The one I choose to share is Inking the Embossing Folder.  You can use a brayer, as I did, a sponge or direct to folder.

When you ink the folder you can either ink the positive or negative side of the folder.  In this example I inked the negatives of 2 different folders, the Dots and the Stripes.  So the added color I added is in between the lines and dots. This was Sweetleaf Exclusive Cardstock with Sweetleaf Exclusive Inks, and the stamp set I chose is an Hostess Exclusive Stamp set, A Mother's Love it is stamped in Sweetleaf Ink and Hollyhock Ink, the branch is from our Art Philosophy Cartridge in Chocolate cardstock.
I love using more than one Embossing Folder on a project, it gives so much dimension.

The paper you see in the background of this card front is Ivy Lane Paper packet. This is the whole project:
This is one of our My Creations Kraft 3-Ring Binder's that I made to hold my CTMH Embossing Folders. Inside I made pockets for each of the folders using cardstock in matching colors of the beautiful Ivy Lane papers.

On each pocket I put the name of the folder using cut out Cricut Art Philosophy letters and cardstock, then ran the cardstock thru the matching embossing folder.  The letters look embedded into the cardstock.

Now hop on over to the fabulous Karen Pedersen's Blog and see what she has made using the new Embossing Folders.

During the month of February you can get a Embossing Folder of your choice for "FREE!" when you order any 2 packages of cardstock.  Sound good, check with your consultant or click here to order from me.

I did it!

Well, the pro's won out and I purchased the new Cricut Explore.
I have to wait until April but that is OK

It's something good to think about while I am not feeling well.
My son gave me a bug and not getting too much done.

Cricut Explore

If you are like me you have been recieving tons of emails about the new Cricut Explore.

Are you on the fence too?  I sure am.
I am anxiously awaiting the reveal on HSN on Feb 12th. I want to see what all this new machine does and doesn't do.
I have even started a pro and con list about this new machine.
Pro's:
Cuts more sizes
Cuts smaller images better
Cuts perfect circles and scallops
Cuts many different file types
I don't have to write down the sizes of everything I cut because I can just save the project.
Easy to use Design Space
Carbide blades
Old mats can be used

Con's:
No android wifi
$299 ouch
Not compatible with CCR

Not sure if I am trying to talk myself into it, or out of it?  I guess I still have too many questions to find the answers to before I decide.

Triple Heart Easel Card using Ariana Papers

A little while back I saw one of these cards on a youtube video.  The gal used a Sizzix Heart Die Cutter to make this project.  Since I don't have them I knew I could reproduce the same look using my Art Philosophy Cartridge and the Cricut Craft Room.
Here is a screen shot of 2 of the 3 hearts for the base.  I put up two 5" hearts, turned one upside down and joined them together.  The middle sized heart is 4" and the smallest is 3".  So if you don't have Sizzix or Nesti's to make the hearts you can do it in the CCR.

This beautiful paper is called Ariana.  It's so pretty and vintage.
