Confetti Wishes Tag card

This card is a standard 4 1/4" x 5 1/2" card base with one of our new colors Canary. It's a nice bright yellow!
Thistle, another new color, is the second layer of the card front. It is a little bit of purple in a beautiful pink.

The star of this card is Confetti Wishes paper.

And both these new cardstock come is Confetti Wishes Paper pack.

I altered a couple of tags from Art Philosophy in Cricut Carftroom and made an accordion fold cardstock piece to join them together.  It is held closed by the Thistle ribbon.

Added a saying using Holiday Tags to the inside, and left one space for a signature.

The images on this stamp set are cut with our Artiste Cartridge.

Scaredy Cat Paper Bag Treat

Here is another paper bag treat idea featuring CTMH's
Scaredy Cat paper

and  Trick or Treat Sweets stamp set.

That pink line around the saying means you can cut it on your Cricut using our Fabulous Art Philosophy Cartridge, which is a favorite among my customers!

I cut the white cardstock for the saying with the 1 1/2" that is listed on the stamp. Then cut another at 1 3/4 for the Sorbet layer then the Black layer at 2".  So it all layers perfectly!

ShinHan Markers were used to color in the images which were stamped with our Archival Black stamp pad:
Leaf Green
Tender Pink
Pastel Green
Peony Purple

I used a 8 lb 6" x 12" brown paper bag.

My first Split Monogram

Here is my first attempt at a Split Monogram.  I made this on my Cricut Explore Machine.  This one is done with cardstock but it can also be done with Vinyl.  I put it into my Black Design Decor Shadow Box.  I am hoping to have more time to play with some of the fun things you can do with the Explore Machine.

CTMH Shadow Box

Well look what I framed in our new Designed Decor Shadow Box!  Decided that the layout needed to shown off.  These great Shadow Boxes come in Colonial White and Black.  I am posting a Black one too.
The frame is hinged on the left and has magnets to keep it closed.  You can put a very dimensional layout in these as the tray is 1/2" deep.  Great item at $28.95.
Check them out in our new catalog, Annual Inspirations

Sweet

As I was looking through the new Annual Inspiration Catalog at Convention I noticed a stunning 6x6 canvas layout that I knew I needed to recreate into a standard 12 x 12 layout.

This layout is all cardstock: Colonial white, White Daisy, Hollyhock, Sweetleaf and Topiary.
This stamp set is called Honeycomb and is only $13.95.  My Honeycombs are stamped in Cashmere ink and the darker Saddle ink. This Honeycomb shape can be cut out easily using our Artbooking Cartridge .

Here are some close ups of layout.  I used the Art Philosophy Cartridge for all the flowers. Inking all the petals with Hollyhock ink.  The stems are also on the Art Philosophy cartridge and these were cut out of Sweetleaf cardstock and sponged with Topiary ink.  See the cute little striped leaves here and there?  For those I took some of our Striped Washi tape and put it onto Sweetleaf cardstock and cut it out on the Cricut.  Aren't they cute?

The centers of these flowers all have our new Bling Gems Gold Assortment.  One of my favorite new accessories.  They are so pretty in person. You get 72 of them for just $3.95.

If you are interested in making this layout and would like a kit contact me at ddd4nier@aol.com.  I am going to make kits soon.

What A Hoot!

This fun card is made from a white paper bag.  I stuck a candy bar I wrapped with the a piece of the Brushed collection paper into the pocket so you could see where the pocket was.

The stamp set is our Stamp of the Month for August.  As you can see it has owls that can be used for Halloween and for other occasions like my card above with is just a "girly" card.
This stamp of the month is only August and is $17.95 or can be yours for only $5 with a $50 order on my web page www.stampmemories.ctmh.com .

Brushed Card

I have to say the new Brushed paper assortment is my favorite in the new Close To My Heart catalog!
Just look at this beautiful paper!

One of the first samples I made when I got my order was this Brushed card!

It's kind of a fun fold.  Although you can't see them there are sides under the center section, so it kind of pops up.  This card will be done at one of my upcoming workshops.  I added a opening card to the front of it so you have room to say a little something.  It fits into a regular A2 envelope.
This paper collection features one of our new colors:  Pixie, just love it!
The stamp set I choose is also new It's called Pretty Petals
Here is the whole stamp set:

As you can see by all the pink outlined flowers that this stamp set has easy cutting with our Cricut Art Philosophy cartridge.

I have another Brushed sample to share with you.

CTMH New Product Showcase!

Welcome to the CTMH Simply Inspired Blog Hop featuring Annual Inspirations 2014/2015 New Product Showcase.  If you have come her from Melissa Laverty's blog you are on the right trail. It is a complete circle of CTMH Consultants who will give you a preview of some of fun new products in our new yearly catalog.  If you should get lost along the way you can find a complete listing of those participating in the blog hop HERE.

I am sharing with you the new Snowhaven Paper Packet which is a great Winter Paper selection.
The colors of this great new papers are Glacier (our new beautiful blue), Whisper (a soft gray), Cranberry (a deep red), Black and White.  As you can see there are some papers that can be used all thru the year.

This is a Shutter card I made.  You will see why it is called a shutter card when it's opened. It is your basic gate card fold when looking at it from the front.  A 5 1/2" x 8 1/4" piece of cardstock scored at 2 1/8" and 6 3/8" along the long edge.  Folded it will give you 2 front sections that meet in the middle of the 4 1/4" card.

Here's the fun inside of the card.  When you open the gates they pull the attached Glacier Blue cardstock, this then opens the center of the card to reveal the saying, "Happy Christmas to all" which is part of the stamp set C1598 Noel set of 6 stamps. It looks like a shutter in a camera.
I found the directions for this card on this you tube video by France Martin AKA "Frenchie".  She is a treat if you have never watched her video's before.
This is just another shot showing how the cardstock is attached to the gates.  The center section is lifted with 3D-Foam Tape.
Here is a close up of the front, I used the Snowman from D1610 Christmas Post set of 8 stamps stamped in Archival Black Exclusive Inks then colored in with our new Shin Han markers. Loving the new alcohol markers!  I wrapped the dotted B&T paper which I cut out the striped B&T paper around the card leaving the tail un-adhered, as Frenchie did in the video, then added the base of the Glacier cardstock. Over the cardstock I added another strip I cut out of the striped B&T paper around the card, making another tail. Then added the Black and Glacier dotted B&T and the cut out snowman I colored.

This will make a fun Holiday card for those friends and family that respect the time spent on it.  I hope you like it too.

Now you are on your way to see what my talented friend Diana Veenendaal has made especially for you!

Cricut Explore User Manual

Just wanted you to know that there is a Cricut Explore User Manual now available.

It is a series of videos you can watch to help you navigate learning to use your machine and Design Space.  I know I will be bookmarking it and trying new things.  There are so many things I haven't figured out yet and I know once I do I will be using this machine as my primary machine!  Just having trouble giving up Cricut Craft Room, since I am familiar with it.
