Pennant Frame

Did you know CTMH has a Pennant Frame that you can make using your Cricut and our Artbooking cartridge?  Well we do..  This base paper was cut using Ivy Lane papers at 9 1/5".  Cool! All the details were done with Artbooking except the roses which were made with the Art Philosophy cartridge.

Treat Holder

At my workshop this past weekend Lorenza brought this fun pattern to share.  The original idea came from Debi Pippin.
Her treat bag was called a "Teabag and Cookie Holder".
Here is my version using Ivy Lane Paper from CTMH.
My treat bag has 2 wrapped Ghirardelli squares, one on each side of the bag.  In the center there are some MnM's hanging in a baggie.

Those MnM's are from last Easter!  Yikes...

The paper is 8 1/" x 12"
Scored the long way at:
1 1/4, 2 1/2, 5, 7, 9 1/2 and 10 3/4
Scored the short way at:
2 1/2 and 6"

Here's paper with lines for those that need a visual.
The corners with the X's you cut out.

Not sure why this photo is such a different color but it's the same..

Fold down the corners diagonally.
The printed paper will be what you see on the outside of finished product.

Fold in both sides to center, one shown in photo

Fold the 1st and last score toward center and adhere down, this is all the adhering you do!

Flip it over and fold on the 5" and 7" fold to make the bottom of the holder.

Pull the sides up to make it stand.
Cut the corners about 1/4" from the 1st score line on a diagonal, punch holes for the ribbon and tie.

The finished product is 4" tall, 3 1/2" wide and
1 1/2" deep.

I hope you like it and will try one.  They are very easy to make...

Jubilee Side Flap Card

I have been seeing some cards on Pinterest done in this style,  They first cut the flap, then cut it into the triangle shape on one side, then score it to wrap around the card. It seemed like more work that what was needed.  So I went into Cricut Craftroom and made one up with a square then another with a circle cut out. I do have to score it.

The card base is Honey cardstock.

The layers were done with Cranberry cardstock, Colonial cardstock and Jubilee patterned paper.
Inside of the card.
Back of the card where I adhered the flap.
Close up of the flower, using the Art Philosophy cartridge. I used a clear button with a small piece of waxy flax to hold the flap down.

This card will be featured in one of my card classes.  I will be providing the ccr file to those who purchase the kit.  More later...

Ivy Lane Card

Don't you just love our new embossing folders.  This one is called Quatrefoil and it's done on Blush cardstock.  The patterned paper is from our Ivy Lane Collection.  Joanne Walton another CTMH shared this pattern with me.  You cut 5 strips of paper that are 1" x 2 1/2" then fold back the corners going opposite directions.  Position them so two of the folded back corners form the square.  I thought it was a little different and something fun to try.

Scalloped Closure Card

I saw a cute card on one of the CTMH facebook pages and the gal was kind enough to share her Cricut Craftroom CCR file with us.  Her name is Laura Wolf and she did a great job.  When I cut it out the size seemed to be a little off to me, might have gotten messed up somehow.  So I altered it a bit and presto it is so cute.  Here is the card and the inside.
I made this for my friend Suzie for her birthday this month but will use it also for my April card class. If you live in the area I would love to have you attend.  If you don't I will be putting together a card kit of all the cards we will be making.  I will show cards all together when I am done.
Thanks for stopping by..

Waiting

Well, I got new tools for when my Cricut Explore arrives.  Now I have to wait, which I am really bad at.
I have heard they are working out some bugs, and hopefully by the time my machine gets here it will be good to go.  I have another month or so to look at my tools and dream about perfect circles and scallops, and cutting tiny pieces that look just like they are supposed to.

Going to work on a birthday card today, will post later.
