Pop-Up card Box

I found the directions for this fun and really easy Pop-Up Card box on Splitcoast stampers and had to try a couple of them.  It was really very easy to make.
This Valentine's box is for my sweet hubby of 37 years, Gary! He has been so wonderful putting up with me all these years I decided he needed something special this year.

I started with X7128B Timberline paper packet.  The base of the box is made using the Twilight cardstock that comes in the kit.  I then decorated it with patterned paper from the same kit.
I used Wild About You, Stamp of the Month, to decorate the inside and outside of my card.  This fun set is available only during the month of February. The lopsided hearts and saying on the front of the closed card are Cricut compatible with our Art Philosophy Cartridge. The Be Mine on the card was made in Cricut Craftroom also using the Art Philosophy Cartridge. The stamp pads used were:  Slate, Barn Red, Twilight.
Accents used were Aqua Dots and Black Sparkles.

Now head over to Diana's to see more new products and Ideas.

Here is another Pop-Up card box I made.  This one uses the beautiful Ariana Papers.
It's my Happy Birthday to Me card for this year when I hit the big 65!

It feels like Love

This 3-D heart frame was shared with me by fellow CTMH Consultant Joanne Walton.  I recreated it in Cricut Craftroom.  It is in a white 12x12 frame I got a Michael's.  Each of the flowers are made with folded hearts and topped with Cricut cut Art Philosophy rolled flowers.  It looks great in my office.

New catalog is live on Saturday February 1st:

Sneak peak into new papers, loving this Lollydoodle paper packet.  I love this box card with Hershey nuggets wrapped with more paper.  I improved the pattern by adding additional 1/2" to the flaps sealing the openings top and bottom, so it can be opened and closed.  No more tearing up the box to get the candy out.
If you are interested in the CCR file for cutting the hole in the cardstock to make the box email me at ddd4nier@aol.com.  It cuts only the hole for the base box and the patterned overlay.  Not the whole box.

Simply Inspired CTMH Blog Hop - Hand Crafted Holidays

Welcome to another Simply Inspired CTMH Blog Hop.  Our focus this month is Hand Crafted Holidays.
If you have come here from Bren Yule's blog you are on the right trail.  If you should get lost along the way you can hop over to Dana's blog to get a complete list of bloggers.

This month I wanted to do something with Rosette's, did you see the tree on the front of the Holiday Gift Guide?  So I decided upon a wreath.

This Frosted wreath is large, approximately 17" across. I cut a 15" base out of cardboard, then covered it with cardstock, but that doesn't show.

The rosette's are all cut from the Artiste Cartridge on page 55, at 2 1/4" which is as large as you can go. Not only does the cartridge cut them for you, it also puts in little hash marks for folding them, very cool!   I cut 10 strips of each pattern because I used 15 rosette's on my wreath. Because I wanted a little smaller base, I then cut the strips down to 2" for the 12 large rosettes and at 1 1/2" for the 3 smaller rosettes.  This would give me a 4" rosette for the large ones and 3" rosettes for the small ones when folded.

Tip on folding the rosettes:  I fold all the hash marks towards me first, so I can line up the sides evenly, when I am done I go back and fan fold them easily.

The snowflakes are made from Champagne and Colonial White cardstock and are cut on our Artbooking cartridge.  Add some glitter and sparkles and you have some pretty snowflakes.  I hung 3 double sided snowflakes with Slate Bakers Twine in the center.

My wreath will hang on a wall for the Holidays. It's light enough to use those damage free Hanging strips.

Thanks for stopping by, leave a comment if you like or if you have a question.

Look for more ideas at Brenda Rose's site.  She does the most fabulous things!

Tea Light Gifty

Have you played with our new Washi tape?  I used the new Sparkle and Shine Washi Tape from the Close To My Heart, Holiday Gift Guide to cover the sides of these simple tea lights.  The sides measure 1/2" which is the size of 2 of the tapes, the Juniper is 1" so I just cut it in half.  I made the box bottom from a 4 1/2" square of White cardstock, and the top from a piece of Sparkle and Shine B&T paper. There is a piece of B&T on the bottom of the box too, see the Slate houndstooth print in there?  I cut out the center with my paper trimmer, leaving 3/4" on each side in the center section.  I then cut a 4" square of acetate for the center.  I made the bellyband from Ruby cardstock and finished it off with a White Snowflake border from our Artiste Cricut Cartridge that I pieced together on CCR. For the snowflake I used the new Artbooking Cartridge to make a triple snowflake, White, B&T patterned paper and topped it off with a Ruby snowflake.  In the center I stuck a beautiful Pearl, also CTMH but discontinued.  The tag was made with the Artiste Cartridge and stamped with Perfect Fit Holidays stamp set in Ruby and Slate inks. A little bit of Slate Bakers twine in a bow completes the box.
